Email - Using the Who Gets This Email? Window with Reset

You found the (HELP ?) Circle narrative for “Using the Who Gets This Email window and the Reset All button” by clicking the (COMPREHENSIVE HELP ?) Circle on the “SEND EMAIL TO PRAYER PARTNERS” Screen in PrayerLink or any of the other screens related to “Emailing” that have this (COMPREHENSIVE HELP ?) Circle.

Before proceeding, please be sure you have previously clicked the (HELP ?) Circle that leads to the narrative on ”Overview and Basics: Using the Email Function”. Being familiar with the general information about the “SEND EMAIL TO PRAYER PARTNERS” Screen may be helpful to you.

The following information relates specifically to the workings of the “WHO GETS THIS EMAIL?” Window and how to “Reset the Active Records” shown in the window.

Using the “Who Gets This Email?” Window with “Reset”:

The “WHO GETS THIS EMAIL?” Window will already have a list of people in it. The default is to list all “active” records of people from the “PRAYER PARTNERS” Screen that have email addresses.

Whichever records are active when you come to this screen will be the people listed in this window (and they must have an email address). You can check or uncheck them, and you can choose to ignore these people and use the “Search & Select” Hyperlink to find and select certain people for the window.

The Purpose of the “Reset” Option:

At the top of the Navigation Panel on the left side of the screen, you will see a “RESET” Hyperlink. Clicking it makes all database records “active” again.

If you came to this screen with a subset of Prayer Partner records active, clicking the “RESET” Hyperlink will override what was active on the “PRAYER PARTNERS” Screen and will activate all contact records and place them into the “WHO GETS THIS EMAIL?” Window.
